Who am I? Lana Elliott Life Coach and Survivor

Who Am I?

And why should you choose me to support you?

I understand the struggle of carrying unseen wounds.

As a 30+ year old, I’ve been through the chaos of abuse, the weight of mental health struggles, and the grip of addiction. I’ve sat in the thick of depression, felt completely lost, and fought hard to find my way back to myself. These things didn’t just happen to me — they shaped how I show up to my work. They gave me something I couldn’t learn from a textbook: the ability to truly understand what it’s like to be in the dark and not know how to get out.

Lana Elliott — Trauma-Informed Life Coach and Writer

Why I Do This Work

This work is personal to me.

Becoming a trauma-informed coach was not just a career choice. It came from my own lived experience. I know what it can feel like to live with Complex PTSD. I understand the confusion, the tiredness, and the deep loneliness that can follow domestic abuse.

I also know how much can change when the right support is in place. When someone listens, believes you, and gives you tools that actually help, things can begin to feel steadier.

That is what I offer through my work at Lana Elliott Wellbeing. I am trained and continue to learn about trauma-informed practice. But just as importantly, I bring real understanding, care, and belief in your strength. I will meet you where you are and support you from there.

My qualifications and training include:

  • Trauma-informed life coaching
  • Domestic abuse awareness and support
  • Mental health first aid
  • Safeguarding
  • Continued professional development in wellbeing and recovery

Coaching and Writing — Two Sides of the Same Coin

Alongside coaching, I am also a writer. I write about topics many people are told to stay quiet about — trauma, abuse, mental health, and recovery. Writing helps me process, connect, and speak up. It also helps reach people who may not be ready for coaching yet, but still need reassurance and support.

For me, coaching and writing belong together. Both are about making sense of hard experiences, finding words for what can feel unspeakable, and helping people feel seen, understood, and not alone.

What I Believe

Safety First

Everything I do is built around creating a space where you feel safe. No judgement, no pressure, no expectations.

At Your Pace

There’s no rush. Whether you need one session or twenty, we go at the speed that feels right for you.

Real Understanding

I don’t just understand trauma from training. I understand it from living it. That makes a difference.

My Driving Force

Many people stay stuck, believing they are broken or beyond help. I believed that once, too.

That belief is not the truth. Trauma can shape how we feel, but it does not define who we are.

With care, understanding, and the right support, it is possible to feel more hopeful again. I know this because I have been there myself.

If you’re ready, we can begin rebuilding together.
